CHAPTER 47 - Chapter 47
Century Shopping Mall, a certain casual wear counter.
“Hey handsome, this piece suits your physique very well. This outfit is…”
“Change into this one.”
Before the sales assistant could finish her flattering compliments, Kristia handed over another set of clothes.
Su Yuchen opened his mouth but swallowed his words, taking the clothes silently into the fitting room.
“You’ve already picked eight sets, still not satisfied?” The saleswoman looked at Kristia who was selecting clothes again. “Your boyfriend has such a good figure; he’ll look handsome in any of them.”
“Does he look like my boyfriend?” Kristia turned her head, asking with a light laugh.
Guessed wrong?
The saleswoman hesitated for a moment, cautiously probed, “Is he your husband?”
Duang!
A sound came from the fitting room, and Kristia’s eyes flashed with amusement. She hurried over to ask through the door, “Junior Yuchen, are you okay?”
“I-I’m fine, just bumped my leg against the pant leg, no big deal.”
“Be careful.” Kristia returned to continue her selection. The saleswoman realized these two were in a phase of undeclared relations.
“Are these clothes for a specific event?” She approached Kristia.
Looking around and finding nothing appealing, Kristia replied, “A party, nothing too formal.”
“Then comfort should be the priority.” Understanding the customer’s goal, the saleswoman led Kristia to another section. “This casual formal wear is our latest style. He’s fair-skinned and has a good figure; I think this black one suits him well. Pair it with the ice silk long-sleeved shirt for a touch of luxury. What do you think?”
Kristia felt the fabric of the casual suit. “Mm-hmm.”
“Senior Tia, I’m done changing.” Su Yuchen walked out of the fitting room and said.
“Change into this one,” Kristia turned her head.
“Change again?” Su Yuchen felt a bit helpless, remembering past shopping experiences with his sister… it was truly tiring.
“Last one,” Kristia smiled faintly.
The saleswoman took the clothes and handed them over, and Su Yuchen sighed. He hadn’t even worn the clothes for two minutes before having to change into a new set.
“Haven’t even defined the relationship yet, already showing impatience while shopping. Not properly trained yet, hmph~” Kristia muttered softly.
The next moment, a louder sound came from the fitting room than before. Her expression changed slightly, and she quickly went to open the door. She saw Su Yuchen sitting on the floor—the plastic chair beneath him had turned into pieces.
“Junior Yuchen, are you heavy?”
“How could that be?” Su Yuchen stood up as if nothing happened and glanced at Kristia. It must have been her who just complained about him being impatient in her mind.
“Sorry, terribly sorry.” The saleswoman hurried over, bowing apologetically. “Are you hurt, sir? Do you need to go to the hospital for a check-up?”
“It’s okay.” Su Yuchen waved his hand. “Could you bring another chair, please?”
“Right away, I’m really sorry.”
Kristia looked at Su Yuchen. “Junior brother doesn’t stutter when talking to strangers.”
“Senior Tia, I’m introverted, not antisocial.”
“Haha, I see.” Kristia laughed. Otherwise, how could someone manage buying food, clothes, and shopping alone outside if they couldn’t talk to female attendants?
“By the way, Junior Yuchen, have you always been bad at interacting with girls of your age?” Kristia casually asked.
“Mm-hmm.” Su Yuchen replied. “Until high school, I hadn’t attended regular school, so apart from family, I didn’t have much interaction with girls.”
“Home-schooled?”
“Mm-hmm.” Putting his sister’s situation on himself, Su Yuchen’s expression showed no hint of a flaw.
“Your tutor must be an excellent teacher, right?”
“Yes.” Su Yuchen looked more serious. “She’s an extremely outstanding teacher. Without her, I wouldn’t have been able to get into Sky University.”
“The Xuanqing Empire doesn’t have many teachers of that caliber.”
“That’s true. That’s why I feel fortunate to be her student.” Su Yuchen nodded.
Kristia pursed her lips. Why didn’t he mention his teacher’s name? She had to probe.
“Teaching a student like you, your teacher must be very famous now, right?”
“Definitely.” Su Yuchen said with a hint of pride, “Because of me, many people hope to hire her as a tutor.”
Kristia rubbed her forehead. Why couldn’t he connect to her wavelength?
With his peripheral vision on Kristia, Su Yuchen continued, “Speaking of which, my teacher is the woman I’ve interacted with the most besides family. She’s beautiful and powerful.”
Kristia’s eyes brightened. She teased, “With such a teacher, Junior Yuchen, how are you still shy around women?”
“I… apart from studying, I haven’t talked to her much…” Su Yuchen said embarrassedly.
“Regretting it now?” Kristia leaned closer. “She’s your teacher, after all?”
“I-I know.” Su Yuchen stepped back nervously. “But, she’s a teacher!”
“So…” Kristia adjusted her glasses. “What does that matter?”
Su Yuchen opened his mouth… according to her, is it common for tutors to become romantically involved with students?
“Sir, a chair.” The saleswoman hurried over. “I’m really sorry… you can try on the clothes now.”
Su Yuchen glanced at Kristia and quickly walked into the fitting room. Open, too open! How could she be so open-minded!
Kristia looked at the closed fitting room door, lost in thought.
Rich family, private tutoring, a now famous female teacher… the investigation scope has significantly narrowed.
Next, it’s time to send someone to the Xuanqing Empire to investigate… to find out what kind of person this virgin junior really is.
Su Yuchen, in a well-fitted black casual suit, walked out. “Senior Tia, I think this outfit is not much different from what I have at home.”
“How could that be?” Kristia’s eyes lit up. “You think it’s the same color, but the overall aura is completely different.”
She walked up to him. “This set is really good; you look like a playboy in it.”
She stopped in front of the mirror with Su Yuchen. “Really nice, isn’t it?”
“You both match very well,” the saleswoman praised.
“Is that so?” Kristia chuckled. “Our clothes don’t match at all, where’s the match?”
“Looks, height, aura, all match perfectly.” The saleswoman praised without hesitation. “A perfect match!”
“Junior Yuchen, go with this one?”
“Mm…I-I’ll listen to Senior.” Su Yuchen rushed to pay.
“Slow down!” Kristia tapped his shoulder.
Wearing this suit, he’ll remember the ‘perfect match’ compliment. Ultimately, the elevation of affection is just self-imagined elevation.
The current virgin junior has no way to deviate from this path.
