CHAPTER 40 - Chapter 40

“Our party over there is quite fun, you know.” Phyllis, legs crossed, propped her elbows on the table, leaning forward slightly, revealing two sweet small pomelos resting on the tabletop.

Wearing a smile of enthusiasm, she continued, “So, what do you think? Will you join us?”

“Don’t go,” Kristia patted his back. “It’s dull when there are too many people.”

“Not this time,” Phyllis hurriedly added, “I won’t invite all the international students this time, just us from the Magic Engineering Department.”

Pausing briefly, she looked at Su Yuchen again. “Junior Yuchen, you definitely want to attend this party with Tia, right?”

As long as she convinced Su Yuchen, Tia would undoubtedly come!

Su Yuchen indeed felt tempted but ‘dared not’ directly agree. His gaze intentionally or unintentionally glanced at Kristia, a mix of shyness and longing evident.

“Just go if you want,” Kristia chuckled.

“Senior Tia, will you go?”

“If Junior Yuchen goes, I will.” Kristia maintained her smile. If she didn’t keep an eye on him, what if other vampires got hold of him?

Phyllis, with a smile on her face, glanced at the two opposite her. Perhaps she could take advantage of this party to taste Tia’s blood?

Licking her lips, she softly said, “Let’s settle on that then. Junior Yuchen, give me your contact information, and I’ll send you the invitation later.”

“Just give it to me,” Kristia said nonchalantly.

“Tch, so stingy. Won’t even let him share contact details with others,” Phyllis scoffed, dropped her legs from the raised position, and stood up. At that moment, Su Yuchen clearly saw the tangerines tremble lightly.

“I’m leaving. You guys chat.” Phyllis walked away with elegant steps, needing to prepare well for this upcoming party.

“Does it look good?” Kristia smiled at Su Yuchen. “Pretty big, right?”

“W-what?” Su Yuchen was somewhat flustered and lowered his head.

“I won’t blame you,” Kristia whispered into his ear, “Let me tell you a secret: My bust is a bit bigger than hers, and even more beautiful, hehe.”

‘I already know that.’

Thinking of the figure under the red dress, Su Yuchen glanced at her chest… well, he couldn’t tell.

“Do you know why?” Kristia seemed like she could read minds as she pinched his earlobe and whispered softly, “I’m wearing a bra that makes it look smaller.”

“I-I… no need to tell me that…” Su Yuchen nervously replied.

“Junior brother, you’re sweating nervously again,” Kristia said, slightly distancing herself. She noticed his scent becoming more intense as Mid-Autumn Festival approached.

Su Yuchen didn’t say anything. He picked up his chopsticks and began eating noodles quickly, trying to mask his inner agitation.

“Slow down,” Kristia also picked up her chopsticks. “I just took a bite of these noodles… Are they good?”

Su Yuchen’s movement paused, listening to her continue — “Do you think this counts as an indirect kiss, hmm?”

“Just teasing you, come on, eat,” Kristia sounded quite pleased. “Junior Yuchen, you’re so clueless.”

‘Who’s the clueless one might not be so certain.’

Su Yuchen glanced at her, silently finishing a large bowl of tomato and egg noodles.

“Today’s lucky, the light didn’t blow up,” after he finished, Kristia smiled.

“Mhm.”

“Shall we go?”

“Mhm.”

As they walked out of the restaurant, Kristia furrowed her brow, “It’s even hotter than yesterday, how annoying.”

“Senior Tia doesn’t like hot weather?”

“Not at all, because it makes me tan,” Kristia opened her parasol casually and asked, “Junior Yuchen, are you heading back to the dorm?”

“I-I don’t stay on campus.”

“Is that so?” Kristia looked surprised. “I didn’t know.”

‘Heh… quite the actor.’

“Speaking of which, Junior Brother, you haven’t given me your contact information,” Kristia took out her phone. “What’s your number? I’ll contact you on Mid-Autumn Festival.”

“Uhm, Senior Tia, I’ll add you.”

Watching his trembling hands out of excitement as he added her as a friend, Kristia smirked knowingly. Would the virgin junior tonight be too excited to sleep?

What would be his first message to me?

Buzz.

The phone vibrated, and Kristia glanced at the chat interface.

[My sister is the best]: Hello, Senior Tia, I’m Su Yuchen.

Kristia blinked, then burst into laughter, “Junior Yuchen, you’re too adorable, aren’t you!”

“Huh?” Su Yuchen looked bewildered. “Did, did I make a typo?”

“Not at all.”

Su Yuchen stared at her blankly. He had to admit, Kristia, despite being a cold-blooded vampire, had a very warm smile.

“Do you think I’m very pretty, Junior Brother?” Kristia blinked, teasing the virgin junior.

“Uh-huh… y-yeah.” After an instinctive response, Su Yuchen hurriedly put on his training cap, using the brim to shield himself from her gaze. “Senior Tia, I’ll go first.”

After saying that, he quickly walked towards the direction of the drill ground.

Kristia didn’t call him back, instead, she lowered her head to look at the message he had just sent on the phone interface, chuckling softly. “Who would immediately send a message right after adding someone? And with such a cliché greeting…”

“The virgin junior is indeed a virgin, but a little cute.”

If he really became her boyfriend, it would be quite amusing…

No, no, no!

He’s the blood bank!

Shaking her head vigorously, her golden hair lightly swayed as Kristia huffed, “It’s all because of his scent! It’s making my judgment all foggy!”

“If I wait and properly have my fill, I won’t have these random thoughts!”

Taking larger steps, the scorching sunlight couldn’t penetrate her parasol. In a good mood, Kristia muttered to herself, “After giving you the First Embrace, I might as well be a bit gentler with you, let me think…”

“Mhm, occasionally letting you help this lady put on stockings.”
